NOTE: As part of the Libraries' response to COVID-19 we have closed all of our enclosed study carrels and group study spaces. There are open study carrels available (without doors) available for use.

The Libraries provide quiet study carrels located on the second and third floors of Moody Library. These rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis to everyone. Please do not leave any materials or personal items in these carrels as they cannot be locked.

Library Materials
Carrels are monitored weekly by library staff. Library materials that are not properly checked out will be removed. Journals, reference books, and other non-circulating materials may not be left in carrels. If any of these items are found, they will be removed.

Furniture and Maintenance
Carrels are furnished with a chair, desk, shelves, and a bulletin board. Library furniture from other areas of the building may not be moved into the carrels. Smoking is prohibited throughout the Baylor Libraries. Effective August 14, 2014, tobacco products are banned on all property that is owned, operated, leased, occupied or controlled by the University.

Group Study Rooms
Glassed-in group study rooms are available on the second floor of Moody Library on a first-come, first-served basis. This rooms accommodate 6 - 8 persons, and include dry erase boards and projection screens. Computer projectors are available for checkout at the Help Desk+ service desk in the Garden Level Study Commons. Contact the service point at Help Desk+ (710-4113) with questions.

Locker and carrels are services of the Moody and Jones Libraries. Policy terms may change without prior notice.
